Guided tour - full day
The city of Namur is situated at the confluent of the rivers Meuse and Sambre. On top of the hill a fortress built by Spanish,
French and Austrian, overlooks the city.
Meeting with your guide in Brussels (station or hotel) and transfert by bus to Namur.
We stroll through the old city centre of Namur and visit the basilica, as well as the citadel.
After a photo stop, we drive along the river Meuse towards Annevoie and Maredsous, where you will be able to try the local
abbey beer. We continue our tour and visit the picturesque Molignée valley where we hit the Meuse again at Bouvignes.
We also plan a visit to Dinant, home of Adolphe Sax, who invented the saxophone. The town is famous for its cookies and ham.
On our way back to Brussels (station or hotel) we make a short stop at a medieval castle and give you the opportunity to take
· The Annevoie gardens.
· Railbike (2 miles each way) near Maredsous.
· Transfer to Anseremme to go down the river Lesse in a canoe.
· River cruise on the Meuse either at Namur or Dinant.
· The caves of Han. Mountain bike tour.
· The medieval castles of Vêves and Spontin.
· Cablelift in Dinant.
