When you hear of Brussels you immediately think of the wonderful baroque façades on the Grand’Place (market square) and the masterpieces of Peter Breugel the Elder.
The city of Bruges is a perfect harmony of old houses, beautiful gardens and impressive monuments which are reflected in peaceful canals.
Ghent was built on the confluent of the rivers Lys and Schelde. For many centuries it was the centre of wool trade and gardening.
The city of Antwerp from its part stands for architecture, music and the famous paintings of Rubens. All these beautiful historical places are situated in one small and cosy country, which you can visit at any time of the year.

1st day: Brussels

Meeting with your guide (station or airport or hotel)
Sightseeing tour with a bus leading to the Arches of the Cinquantenaire, the
EU-buildings, the Royal Palace, the Parliament, the Court of Justice, the Sablon square with many antique shops and the Atomium. We continue the tour on foot in the area of the Grand’Place and Manneken Pis. Lunch in a local restaurant
In the afternoon you will have some time off for shopping (without bus and guide).
In the late afternoon we go to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay. In the evening you will have plenty of free time to enjoy Brussels by night.

During the sightseeing tour with guide through the old city we will pass along the market square with the belfry, undoubtedly the most remarkable building in the city. Its holds the most famous carillon of the world. On the burg square there are some interesting buildings such as the basilica of the Holy Blood, the oldest gothic town hall in the country (1376-1420) and the Court of Justice. Lunch in a local restaurant.
In the afternoon we will take a canal cruise with English commentary. Afterwards, there will be some time off in the historical centre.
In the late afternoon we return to the station or to the airport, or to the hotel in Brussels for dinner and overnight stay.

Extension 3rd day: Ghent and Antwerp

After breakfast, the bus will take us to Antwerp, situated on the right bank of the river Schelde. We go for a sightseeing tour in the city, which is dominated by the tower of the Cathedral of Our Lady, the largest gothic church in Belgium. The city has many interesting museums and beautiful monuments. We also visit a diamond cuttery.
We will have lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon we drive to Ghent, the former capital of the Flemish cloth industry. On our tour we will see the St. Baafs cathedral, the city hall, the belfry and the St. Michael’s bridge, from where we have a nice view on the old harbour and the castle of the Count of Flanders.
In the late afternoon we return to Brussels (station or airport or hotel).
